The Ontario Library Association is now accepting applications for the DS4Y program (Cohort 3) for the 2019–2020 year. Applications are due September 13, 2019.

The Youth Intern can work:
- 450 hours
- 700 hours
- 900 hours
Libraries will receive 75% of the wage reimbursement.

After completing your Participant Information Report you will have access to the course materials for the Digital Skills for Libraries certificate. Log into the website and go to your Profile page to access the materials.
New courses are being added regularly.
As part of the Digital Skills for Libraries Certificate interns must complete a mentorship component. Resources on finding an appropriate mentor at your library or in your local community have been posted.
Use the following form to register for the OLA Super Conference 2019 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on January 30–February 1. Youth Interns get a full conference registration as part of the Digital Skills for Libraries Certificate program.
Your badge will be available for pick up at the registration desk. Your conference badge allows you to attend any non-ticketed event at the conference. Conference information is available at www.olasuperconference.ca.

OLA Career Centre
The OLA Career Centre has mentorship programming throughout the conference. Check out their schedule or drop by to take advantage of their services. Special arrangements have been made for DS4Y Interns to drop in between 10 am and 2 pm on Thursday and Friday during the conference.
Participant Information Reports are now posted, this report has two sections: one for your new Youth Intern and one for their supervisor. This report is required to be completed as soon as your new Youth Intern starts their position.
Due to the date the contract from ISED was received by OLA we have already sought permission from ISED for positions to extend beyond March 31, but the youth needs to begin working before December 15th. Extensions will be considered on a one-by-one basis. The internship can conclude after March 31, if at least 50% of the 900 hour internship is completed by March 31, 2019.
